There is no compromise concerning the privacy of your billing data. Billing-api makes protecting your privacy and your customers‘ data against illegal access a top priority. Billing-api relies on the fact that our entire server infrastructure is in Berlin.
This means that all of your data is in Germany. The entire infrastructure is maintained solely by us, so that no third parties have access to it.

We protect your data on all levels:

1. Encryption – All communication with the billing-api servers is based on the standard SSL with AES 256bit, as you are familiar from the banks.
2. Continual development – Our software gets an update every Wednesday with enhanced features and changes.
3. Our own hardware – We rely on our own hardware, which we personally service and monitor.
4. Server Location – Berlin, Germany – your data underlies the law and the privacy policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin. We are glad to invite you to take a look at our server location in person.
5. Source Code Monitoring – We are versioning our source code of the software to make changes easier to understand.
6. Backup – The data of billing-api is saved at two different locations several times a day.
7. Regular updates – Once appropriate updates are available, they will be applied onto the server by our network management.

Because we have our infrastructure in Germany, this grants you: Maximum security due to strict data protection regulations, protection against wiretapping friendly laws, including the US Patriot Act and highest reliability due to the well-developed infrastructure in Germany.
